Pastor Jake was born and raised in Madison Wisconsin.  He attended church but did not feel called to the ministry until his mid twenties. After high school, Jake went to work for big box retail. Jake spent about ten years in store management for Menards, Home Depot, and Lowes working in various Midwestern states and cities. It was during this time that he felt God was calling him to become a pastor.
 
So in  2010 Jake, with the encouragement of his home congregation and wife Cecilia, enrolled in an undergraduate  degree at Concordia University Wisconsin taking night classes to pursue the next steps towards becoming an LCMS minister. It was at this time that he also switched carriers and began working for HP as the State of Wisconsin's Medicaid  Ombudsman. In the summer of 2014 he graduated CUW  and they left everything in Wisconsin and moved to St. Louis with their three children to attend Concordia Seminary. The four-year long program at the Seminary not only prepared Jake to become a pastor, but it grew him and his family in their faith and love for God and their love and care for others.
 
After graduation from Concordia Seminary in 2018, Pastor Jake was Called to serve the saints at Our Savior Lutheran Church.  He and his family are so grateful and excited to be joining the OSL family!
 
Jake is married to the most amazing person he knows, Cecilia, who is from Des Moines Iowa. They have three wonderful children, Aria (13), Isaiah (11), and Joshua (8).
 
As a family they enjoy  outdoor activities, and anything where they can meet new people and build friendships. They are a very God loving and energetic family that strives to glorify God in all they do!
